What to expect energetically during this powerful Aries New Moon and Solar Eclipse Thursday, April 20th

One of my favorite words to describe what I am feeling but also where I am going. A word to describe both stagnation and fluctuation.
This Thursday, April 20th at 12:13 AM, we will experience a great alignment of the cosmos.
The energy of the New Moon, paired with the enerygy of the ram, and this year’s first solar eclipse.
With multiple important transits, the stars will truly be aligning this cosmic season.
This is the second Aries New Moon being gifted to us this year, this first occuring on March 21st. The sun hasn’t eclipsed the moon in the fire sign since 2015, creating a perfect cosmic catalyst for aligning yourself with who you truly are and who you want to be.
Aries energy coupled with a solar eclipse is a time for closure, endings, and new beginnings.

A lot of the time you may find yourself dimming your light, and the solar eclipse will reflect that sentiment as the sun goes dark, and you’re left only with the shadows that linger but rarely get acknowledged.

Total Eclipse of the Heart
Coupled with the clarifying energy the New Moon brings, the solar eclipse amplifies the celestial planet's purifying powers, ushering in a powerful, fresh start.
Eclipses spark major change, both on a personal and collective level, so brace yourself for significant shifts and disruptions all around you.
This eclipse is also the first in a series that will last until 2025, so it's imperative to make the most of this one as its effects will linger for over the next year.
A solar eclipse occurs when the moon aligns exactly between the Earth and the Sun, blocking the light from going from the Sun to the Earth. They always align with New Moons, producing a stronger influene around this lunation.
An eclipse asks us to embrace the unknown. It is a time of revelations, shining a light on hidden truths buried in our conscious and subconscious minds.
Eclipses are cosmic signs of change, quick beginnings, sudden endings, and strong energetic shifts.
Eclipses can be energetic chaos, which brings the idea of potentially holding off from moon rituals, moon crystal charging, and manifestation rituals from this time until the lunar eclipse in the sign of Scorpio in May, as recommended from an astrologist, however, do whatever serves you at this time.
To make the energy even more chaotic, the solar eclipse falls at 29 degrees of Aries, the final, most intense degree, heightening the cardinal sign's bold nature, encouraging you to take risks.
Thursday morning/ Wednesday evening presents an auspicious opportunity to revaluate where you might be playing small, and invites you to take up space.
Top Cosmic Transits
The Sun will enter the second zodiac sign of the cosmic year in Taurus on April 20th. This transit will encourage us to exit the bold, courageous, nature of Aries into a more grounded sign. Teaching us to emphasize our routines, connection with the Earth, embracing material sensory pleasures like new clothes that allow us to express ourselves, or enjoying food we really like. Now is the time to prioritize rituals and routines, foster relationships and leave carry with us the high energy of Aries into the grounded, life pleasures the Earth is here to provide in Taurus.
The Sun and moon will be squaring Pluto. This will allow you to embrace change and understand where any discomfort stems from. Highlight where in your sunconscious you are holding onto your comfort zone and not willing to expand your knowledge, opinions, etc…how are you “set in your ways” and not open to new relationships, experiences, and careers. Your intuition and emotions will be squaring off with Pluto, the planet of change, bringing up highlights of where you aren’t ready to relinquish the ego, and eliminate bad habits and behaviors.
The Sun and moon will align with Jupiter in a conjunction. This will encourage resourcefulness, and provide new opportunities in reward of your hard efforts.
A day or 2 after the lunation, on April 21st, Mercury will begin it’s retrograde. As always, retrogrades bring the lesson for us to slow down, make mindful, intentional decisions, and cultivate awareness of where we tend to miscommunicate. Retrogrades have a lot to do with technology mishaps and travel obtacles so be sure to back-up your laptop, double check your emails for typos, and become more present.
