Everything I Learned in 2022, and What’s in Store

Lessons learned, new habits, exciting opportunities, 2022 was crazy so let’s recap

In 1 year, I

-became an aunt (highlight)

-quit modeling (finally)

-started a business (wow)

-created posts and challenges that changed and inspired many (dream)

-dyed my hair 6 times (fml)

-worked as a personal chef (signed an NDA so can’t get messy about that)

-expanded my education and knowledge (holistic nutritionist and yoga teacher certifications both done ✔️)

-grew mentally and physically in ways I never thought possible (ty Universe)

what a freaking year. It was just over a year ago that I was modeling, bartending, and pursuing a career in the legal workforce.

I can’t emphasize enough that it’s all about knowing yourself, truly, and deeply. Because none of those things aligned with who I truly am, and it took deep soul searching, understanding, and forgiving to get there…and I’m NEVER done evolving.

Speaking of which, let me introduce my two words of the year. Instead of resolutions, I choose words that I will reflect on throughout the year that I wish for it to be defined by.

My first word is Align. This is the word for myself. I want to dig even deeper into my inner being, and gain a better understanding of who I Am and what serves me.

Every year, I feel like I am becoming more energy and less form. Quitting modeling was my first real step in that direction, and I want to keep that momentum going. In this world, we are so attached to form. Attached to what we look like, how we can look better, and manipulate our form.

I want to keep my value internal, the most sacred place.

My second word is Inspire.

Something I struggled with A LOT this year which relates to the above sentiments, is really trying to not be an “influencer” and fall into the trap of aesthetics and fake content over authenticity. I never want to promote things I don’t believe in or be who I’m not. I’m not an aesthetic chick and I’ve never been one to follow trends.

I created this blog and I am a health coach with the sole intent to inspire others. I want to be an encyclopedia of knowledge and hope for others, and help everyone understand that all it takes is micro changes to gain macro results when it comes to health and wellbeing.

I hope in the new year I continue this same pursuit with as much vigor as I had to begin with.

So let’s reflect on some of the short lessons I learned in 2022:

  • follow the numbers: identify your angel numbers and allow them to guide you, feeding your intuition and allow them to remind you that you are on the right track.

  • jump into your dreams headfirst and never look back: if you have a dream or a goal you want to reach, dive into it with no fear. Stop allowing feelings to dictate your brain computer, go with the second brain, your gut, and chase the things that make you happy wholeheartedly.

  • love openly and fearlessly: a lot of this lesson goes hand in hand with forgiveness. Remind yourself daily of how grateful you are to be alive and allow that gratitude to filter into the love you can show to everyone, even those who wronged or hurt you.

  • not everyone will be in your corner, and that’s okay: I tell people all the time that starting your own busines will show who around you is real. If you’re an entrepreneur, then you know that the work never stops and it can be incredibly scary to build something with the fear of failure lingering around the corner. So support means sooooooooo muchhhhhhh to people who are starting to do their own thing and go against the status quo. I used to get insanely frustrated at the people who called themselves my friends but can’t even show me the small courtesy of subscribing to my Youtube or following my business account. Because I’m the first to buy anyone’s products from their small business so they know I’m in their corner. But expecting others to behave the same as you is an unrealistic expectation, and you can’t hold onto disappointment, it’s toxic. Allow yourself to feel, and keep it moving. There will be plenty of strangers who will show you enough love and remind you that you’re on the right path.

These are genuinely just a few things I can think that I learned this year and I genuinely can’t wait for 2023.

I have A LOT of changes going on on my website and the services I will be providing. So stay tuned for exciting changes happening! I will also be creating guides and cheat sheets for you all to make nutrition and holistic living easier to bring into your lives.

I have also made a huge commitment to spreading my love of meditation and binaural beats this year. So content related to those two passions of sound healing will be arriving too!

I can’t believe this website is just a few months away from being 1 years old! Thank you all for growing and sticking with me on this journey. Be well, and be you, all 2023 BABY🤩
